Digital Media Intern Opportunity for 2026 Spring Semester
Internship Overview
We’re seeking a creative, organized, and enthusiastic Social Media & Communications Intern to help grow our digital presence and support our communication strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in marketing, communications, or nonprofit work within a specialized and international industry. This placement is for the Spring 2026 Semester and will require approximately 15-20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and scheduling content across NARSA/IDEA’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Write and edit content for newsletters, blog posts, email marketing, and the Cooling Journal
- Support outreach campaigns to promote events, webinars, and member initiatives
- Monitor and report on social media engagement and campaign performance
- Help manage email communications and membership updates through platforms like Mailchimp
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for promotional campaigns and branding strategies
- Assist with basic graphic design and layout using Canva or similar tools (training provided)
- Contribute to podcast episode promotion and web content updates

Preferred Qualifications
- Studying or recently completed coursework in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics
- Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, or similar platforms a plus
- Interest in automotive, diesel, or industrial sectors is a bonus but not required
Work Environment & Hours
- Remote, flexible hours (approx. 15 hrs/week)
- Attendance at some virtual meetings (Zoom)
